[Japanese] Vocabulary - Insects

Today I'm learning about insects. In Japanese insects are called むし (mushi). Here are some of the common insects.



 かまきり (kamakiri)  MANTIS

 かぶとむし (kabutomushi)  BEETLE

 とんぼ (tonbo)  DRAGONFLY

 くも (kumo)  SPIDER

 ちょうちょ (choucho)  BUTTERFLY

  あり (ari) ANTS


 せみ  (semi)  CICADA


 ゴキブリ (gokiburi) COCKROACH


There are still other insects but for now, these are the ones that I'm trying to memorize.
